It’s a long weekend here in my town, and it’s sunny and warm, so everyone seems to be out enjoying the start of summer.
Woo Hoo!
I love the May long weekend.
I used to be a fall person.
But the older I get, the more I prefer warm weather.
I love planting new flowers, I love not needing a jacket when I go outside, and I love feeling the sun on my face.
This year the long weekend feels even sweeter as after a year and a half of being locked down in this pandemic, it seems like we might finally have this thing beat. The news seems more hopefully lately and I’m starting to feel like things are going to get better soon. That life is going to go back to normal.
My whole family is now either vaccinated or has an appointment to be vaccinated, and this has definitely helped fuel my happy feelings.
So, I’m thinking if things keep going this way the summer weather we’re enjoying today is soon going to bring some more freedom with it too.
And that’s a good thing. A really good thing.
