Cottage

I should be working flat-out on my writing this week as I’m trying to finish the second novel of the three-part series I hope to self-publish next year.

My plan was to get through a first draft by writing a few thousand words every day this summer.

Some days that’s been achievable, and other days it’s been a struggle.

For the most part, I’ve been doing okay as the days have been cool and wet. We’ve had a ton of rain in my part of the world lately.

But this week is supposed to be warm, clear and sunny.

And I’m spending the week at my favorite place in the woods with my husband while he’s on vacation.

So, basically, I think my word count is going to take a serious hit. Instead of writing, I will work on my tan, enjoy my guy’s company, and just read or nap in the sun. Nice, right?

Yeah, but not good for getting a first draft completed.

But still, it’s rejuvenating for the soul.

So, let’s just go with that, shall we? To heck with word counts, I’ll catch up next week.

I hope.

Enjoy your week too!
