Day 1 – My Journey to Publishing

I’m flying home tomorrow, and I don’t want to lug back the 300 pages of my latest manuscript.

I mean, I do. But I don’t want to pay for overage charges on my luggage for all the paper, so I don’t.

So, today, I’m cutting up my manuscript into tiny little pieces.

I’m doing this because I’m positive that (cue sarcasm here) someone is dying to get their hands on it and publish it under their name.

Yeah, I know, highly unlikely.

Still, I’m tearing it up.

I looked into shredding at Staples, and they have a free box you can put things in for shredding. If you’re NORMAL, I would highly recommend that.

But I’m obviously not.

Oh, I also did check, and the library does not do shredding.

Anyway.

I started using scissors to cut my work into tiny little pieces, but then my fingers started to hurt, so now I’m just tearing it apart.

And yes, I’m making all sorts of weird noises while I’m doing it.

I have to say it’s sort of cathartic.

10/10 for that.

0/10 for this being a good use of my time.

Shrug.
